With all the media attention on the Democrat pres. candiates I cant help but think back to the bleak years of the 90s. Since I had some extra $ in the bank for a change I decided to stock up on some AK mags. I ordered a couple 4-packs of 20 rounders, a 4-pack of 30 rounders and some steel mags for my 74. I dont see that prices are going to go down and Id rather have extra mags than not enough. Anybody else have thoughts on this?

I was thinking about the same thing, but the NRA has a good standing in congress and most of the Democrats are worried about things like health care and Iraq. They will probably end up fighting amongst themselves before they get a chance to socialize the USA.

But If you feel like getting some mags, get some and then get some more after that to wave at those socialist b@stards.

p.s. i have money stashed away in case a ban IS coming, but i really want to use it to buy and AR-15 when i turn 21 if you see what i mean. Hi cap mags were worth thier weight in gold during the ban and i see no problem with re supplying the people who could really use them...

Personally, if either of the two Presidental front runners is elected I intend not only stocking up on high cap magazines but a couple more AK's, AR's and Kel Tec PLR pistols.

Amen. I'm going to be purchasing an AR-15 in a month or so. I regret ever selling my old one, even though it was post-ban configuration.

After I get my new AR-15, I'll be getting rid of a few of my cheap Romanian AKs to get a higher end AK and a FAL.

I have a few milsurps, but none capable of Hi-cap (unless I convert an SKS, which I refuse to do.) I'm thinking I might need a SHTF rifle, like an AK or an AR. Something I can reload and shoot quickly and reliably. Till then, not worried about Hi-cap mags.
