Anybody ever had a cervical fusion?

You mentioned she shoots a 10-22. Just so happens that Midway has
a sale on Fajent stocks for the Ruger. Although spendy retail for $149,
it is on sale for $99. It is designed for the target sized barrel, can't see
why a standard barrel would not work. Here is what it does! the stock
comb is adjustable, the lenghth of pull is adjustable, and the pad angle is
adjustable. Once dialed in, every time you mount the rifle to your shoulder,
the sights are right on with no head movement. I just put one on that I
had bid on at a Friends of the NRA Dinner. It is totally slick with high
magnification scopes and shooting offhand. Rock steady and the high
mag scope is right on when a face meld is made when mounting the rifle
Guess original design was for .22 Silouette steel targets:D

Both my spine and neck are totally fused from an arthritic disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis. I can no longer shoot rifles or shotguns due to the recoil. I can only shoot a .22 rifle and when I do I have to practically hold the butt above my shoulder because I can't get my head bent down over the stock. Just the very bottom of the butt grabs my shoulder.

I've got AS too and luckily I've fused with a fairly straight posture. Have you ever tried an extended stock? On my 10/22 the butt has a wire endcap that folds down and lets me rest the rifle on my shoulder comfortably. On a light, low-recoil gun it's very comfortable. I've tried a special build high stock on a shotgun and the recoil wasn't too bad, with the gun barrel lifting instead of pushing at my shoulder.
