Anybody ever hear of the "push through" auto cannon action?

I saw an article on this some years back, and I can't find anything on it now. Web searching on the terms "push through" and "gun" only gets articles on anti-gun politicians trying to "push through" their anti-gun legislation. :banghead:

It's a single-barrel auto cannon, aircraft-mount size, so it's probably 20mm or so. The chamber block rotates on a vertical axis about 30 degrees out of line with the barrel. The rounds are on a belt or in a tube or something like that, end to end. The chamber is straight through; the rounds are bottle-necked, and each has the shoulder portion of the chamber with it, like a collar, around the neck and extending forward to the tip of the bullet to prevent detonating the round in front of it. After the round fires, the chamber block rotates to the side, the fresh round is pushed in from the rear, the empty case along with its shoulder collar are pushed out the front, and the block rotates back into position. The article said it can do a 4000 rpm rate of fire.

This is not the revolver-style fixed barrel cannon that was the predessor to the Gatling-style Vulcan gun. It has only the one chamber, and the block pivots to the side and back, not around in a circle.

Ring a bell?

That's probably what I saw. Not exactly as I remembered it, but I plead CRS syndrome. Thanks.
