I tried searching here and on line but the nomenclature of "2011" grabs every post with that in the date. Makes it hard to filter results.

A new concealed carry option from Taurus, it holds 13+1 of 9mm in a 21 oz pistol that is only 1.15" wide and has an adjustable back-strap. It sounds like a near perfect carry piece. Heck, they offer one in .380 that even holds 15 rounds for the same weight.

But of course the question is how does it shoot? Has anybody here fired one of these yet? Any exposure to these in the general shooting crowd?

Looks can be decieving or maybe you should look a little closer. Glocks have a reputation of being a plastic gun. This it a hybrid steel/polyer frame.

Not sure if it shares any real glock designs

I took a closer look...yep, it's another boring wanna be. Can't have a lot of steel in it to weigh only 21oz.

I see you point, so let us both be honest and say it is a HK wanna be, since Glocks are a wanna be copy of the HK VP70

Fair enough. But can't something more revolotionary happen in this firearms market?!! Always, anymore, another 1911, another Glock wanna be!! If another 1911 is introduced I think I'll puke!!!

I tend to agree with you but, Taurus at least doesn't fall into this category (IMHO) While I am in now way a Taurus fanboy, they at least put out some new and different products. They may get questioned on QC and CS, but at least there product line if pretty well diversed. They made their name (and still make a lot) through making copies.

But looking over the products they have. A true poly revolver, double stack compact 380's, a 454/45/410 revolver, 380 revolver, .22l/.22mag da revolver.

The practicality of these products will be debated by some, but I am glad we have a firearm company thinking outside the box. IMHO that is good for us all

Taurus has a wide variety of innovative designs. I've generally been very happy with them but none have seen heavy use other than my PT-92 and PT-1911 9mm. This pair has been fantastic!
