Anybody Like Barstow Barrels?

I would not order from them again. They lie about their delivery times. I was told 6 weeks for a threaded barrel, 6 weeks came and went. I'd call them every 2 weeks was told 2 more weeks. This went on for a couple of months until I canceled the order and I bought a barrel from EFK.

If you search around, this is Barsto's standard operating procedure. They blatantly lie about delivery times and have been doing so for 20 years. Not sure why they dont just add another lathe and mill to up production. Maybe they dont care.

Im sure if you can find one of their barrels in stock somewhere, you'll do just fine, but I would never order from them directly. Jarvis or EFK would be a better choice if you're concerned about delivery times.

Great Barrels

Sometimes you have to wait, but they are great barrels.......I don't think you will ever have to worry about wearing one out. Years ago, when I was more of a pistol competitor than a shotgun guy, I put 45,000 rounds of jacketed .45's down a Barsto barrel[ in one year] and it looked as new at the end of that season. I've never seen one worn out......

EFK does the same crap. I bought a threaded 1911 barrel from them. When I bought it I was promised 5 weeks. At the 6 week mark, I was told my barrel was already threaded and would be shipped soon. At the 8 week mark I was told my barrel would be threaded soon and then shipped. In all it took almost 4 months for EFK to get me a barrel.

Same deal with Briley, who took 3 months to send me a .40 barrel that was supposedly in-stock when I ordered it.

As to Bar-Sto, they are excellent pipes. Be prepared for a wait regardless of what company you choose.
