Jonah Hex sports an immaculate steel framed '58 Remington (even though he was a Southern officer and used 1860 Colts in the comic book). His girlfriend (for lack of better words) also uses a .31 Remington single shot hideout pistol. Lots of BP love in that movie. We can ignore the dual horse mounted Gatling guns he used, it's the "Weird West" genre.
I was watching some other recent Westerns and one particular scene caught my eye in The Proposition during the shoot out in the beginning of the movie. The bad guys are holed up in a shack with a couple of exotic ladies while the British Army is shooting it into Swiss cheese. (It's an Australian pioneer "Western") One of the bad guys is loading a cap and ball revolver in the middle of the gunfight. I think it was a Remington, but I have to watch it again to make sure.
I also watched The Quick and the Dead and got a thrill watching the Swede load a LeMat in preparation for his dual the next day. Russel Crowe ended up with a worn out Colt Navy conversion that was chambered for ".38 Long Colt", I believe he said. There were a lot of conversions in it.
