Anybody see the new Ruger LCP?

Beyond the Shot Show and Ruger employees, no one's physically seen one because it's not due to be released until March. Do a search as there are threads on lots of forums, such as this one and KTOG.org. I hope Ruger spanks the livin' pants off Kel-Tec! :D

Black Adder, here's one. Lots of Ruger bashing by the Kel-Tec fanboys, but it's a releated thread, nonetheless. These kool aid drinkers over there are bashing a gun they've never even seen in person. In fact, a moderator over there, Txcajun, even has a picture of it with the red circle/shash over it in his sig line. Talk about closed minded, yet they bash everyone that doesn't embrace their beloved P3AT, which is often a VERY unreliable pistol. You can see lots of evidence of that over there, too.

Wow there scottd, you sure are quick to defend a company that has done quite a bit for the Brady Bunch and other anti-RKBA groups in the past. And I like ruger, but it still doesn't make me blind.

Calling the nice people over there at ktog.org "*****", isn't very high road of you.

And for your information, they have pulled up schematics of the two pistol designs and seen that they are quite similar, possibly even being able to interchange some parts.

Regardless, the P3AT design isn't patented, ruger has every right to produce their own version of it, though it pangs of dishonesty.

I plan on possibly picking one up, just because I like ruger stuff, but Kel-Tec is still a fine company, and one that has never pandered to the Brady bunch and others who would limit or remove our RKBA rights.

I care about the product I get for my dollars, not the company. If someone makes a better widget than someone else at the same price point, I'll take the better widget every time. The Ruger LCP remains to be tested by the masses at large, but I'm hoping they have a winner and seriously cut into KT's bottom line.

Besides, the driving force behind those issues (Bill Ruger) is dead and gone.

From what I've seen just in the pictures, it looks like Ruger has cleaned up the problems that k/t wouldn't or couldn't, i.e. extractor, mag. catch (looks like steel). I don't think Ruger is going to sell guns that are "problematic" like kel tec. It looks like they just took k/t's design and improved it. Nothing wrong with that - everyone wants their guns to work w/o a fluff and buff and trips back to the factory. If the Rugers work well they will sell them by the truckload. It will probably be their number one seller too.

I'll wait a bit....but if it's anything like the Rugers I've owned in the past I'll take two.
