Anybody seen EAA's recent ad in The Blue Press?

Hrm, definitely questionable...silly Italians ;) I own an EAA and from my own experience, I haven't noticed their questionable advertising methods affect the quality of their firearms, so...eh.

Why, Oh why do people think that adding a good looking woman will sell anything they advertise??!!

It is so cheesy.

Those girls (or similar) were at the EAA booth at the NRA convention (and presumably at SHOT) and they (plus free T-shirts) certainly drew the crowd. It was difficult to get passed folks gathered there as the aisles were jammed. Whatever draws attention.

Men aren't that much more complex than amoeba's

We don't have that many triggers. Good looking women certainly is one of the main ones. Throw a pint of ale(not a good message around firearms) or some exotic machinery into the mix and you will attract your target audience.

Yes, they were at SHOT as well. Sad thing is, it may not work as well, honestly most folks didn't even know the name of the company that had the booth (EAA? What booth is that?) but they knew the women were there (OH! The booth with the *****! Yeah I know where that is.)

Just the photo of the firearms would be much more appealing to the general firearms audience. Unless they think we're all 12 years old.

uh well the sig copy looks alright but that other pistol looks like crap! The girls are pretty, definitely not going to make me buy that ugly little pistola though

Where can I find one of these? I'll buy it!

Almost embarrassed to say I have any knowledge. There was a snippet in the back of American Handgunner recently about this model. Her name is Heather. It is the same person in both ads.

While I don't particularly care for the more 'risque' nature of the ads, the write up in handgunner made some valid points. Heather gets to travel the country/world on EAA's dime, shoot some fun guns, and gets paid to boot. Almost makes me wish I were better looking and (more) women were as shallow as (some) men.

I honestly don't get folks who are "offended" by models in commercials. I personally think they are choosing to be offended. And I'm almost always more offended by whiny "I'm offended!" types than by whatever offended them in the first place.

As for the rest, I've never found the EAA models to be particularly attractive. They're not ugly or anything, but they're also not the really gorgeous type that makes me stop and pay attention to an add.

How offensive.

I think she is dressed conservatively compared to what I see girls are wearing now at the mall.

You might also note that here we are on an independent internet forum discussing EAA, their advertising and their products,

I don't see many other threads inspired by other manufacturers ads...

Looks like it might be pretty effective to me
