[Mods, if this is the wrong place to put this, or if it is unacceptable behavior apologize and please do with the post what you will]

Is there anybody here who would be willing to dura or cera coat a small part for me as a favor the next time they were doing a larger project? I would of course pay for shipping to you and provide a return label and packaging. I would be looking for any sort of black or blued steel facsimile as a color.

I recently decided as a DIY project to try and grind and thread a bolt handle for a bigger knob. I used a cz 455 handle and the cheapest aluminum knob available because I could replace the whole handle for about 35 bucks if I screwed up.

But now I have a shiny aluminum handle on a blued gun with a matte black stock. I could paint it with BBQ grill paint, but I was thinking some nice soul might be willing to provide me with a superior finish. I could send the knob on a bolt to make it easy to hang, or I could send the whole bolt handle.

If you are willing and able, please send me a PM so that you are not bombarded with other freeloaders.

Funny you posted this. I read last night on a different site about using Dupli Color engine enamel with ceramic to refinish guns. Theres a 500 and 1200 degree paint. You follow directions and either bake or use a heat gun. I think a can is under 10 bucks and you can do it your self. Durability was noted as better that the gun finishes. Do a google search. You should find it. Good luck.

As a professional, I don't do free work. But a small part like that would be cheap. I would charge you about $10 labor and a couple for supplies. I do matte or gloss black Gunkote at least once a week.

PM for contact info if interested.

I would be glad to help out a fellow Texan. I shoot Duracoat often and would be happy to include yours next time. I have a gloss black job and a H&K black job on the board, your choice. I will PM you my address.

Now, even if you are a Professional?
That's THR Pay It Forward way!!!

Well done sir!!!
