Anyone a fan of the Sig 225 or P6 for CHL carry?

I occasionally carry my P6 for serious purposes, but 9 out of 10 times it's big brother the P220 resides on my belt. I picked my P6 up for less than $300 a few years ago when the market was flooded with them. It's a great pistol but mine does not feed conventional JHP's reliably. It will feed Corbon PowerBall JHP's with 100% reliability though. I think later (post 1984) vintage P6's have a JHP friendly feed ramp design. One other thing to look out for is the stock P6's heavy DA trigger pull. I swapped out the 28# mainspring for a 20# wolff spring and now the trigger is much better.

I carried a p225 for awhile before I replaced it with a Ruger SR9c. Great little gun, mine is just banged up and the worn finish tends to rust easier than newer finishes.

Some day I'll get it re-finished then I might start carrying it more again.

I've carried my P6 a couple of times but my Glock 19 is the same size and carries double the rounds, plus I prefer the consistent trigger pull. The P6 serves as my car gun.

P6 is a very high quality pistol. More so than most modern sigs. Just make sure it feeds the JHP round you want to use. I really really regret getting rid of mine.

Short answer, yes.

Long answer............... yes. I guess that's not really a long answer unless you count the long dramatic pause.

For a while there (not sure about now, I haven't shopped for one in a while) they were a good deal under the $300 mark, for a German-made Sig-Sauer. Single stack, so not much in the ammo capacity department, but it keeps the weapon slimmer so it's easier to carry.

SIG's P-6/225 has been one of their best pistols with a very long track-record and European LE history...
My two have been the P6 and CZ P-01... for me, two very reliable, accurate CCW pistolas!!

I bought 3 P6s back when they were selling for 259.00. My daughter carries one of them, I occasionally carry one of the others, and one resides in the safe. They are superb pistols, accurate and reliable. Probably the best handgun purchase (value for the dollar) I've made.

I sometimes (it's my only carry gun, I just don't usually carry) carry a P6 in an IWB holster. I'm rail-thin and it's pretty heavy but it disappears pretty well.

I prefer single-stack autos but it's hard to get a modern (not 1911, P38, etc) one. Almost ended up with a Smith 3913.
