Anyone been hit with ricochet?

I used to work at an indoor range, and RO both bowling pin and IDPA matches, so I got tagged at least once a month from the old bad backstops there. A lady got tagged like the above poster, without the knockout - the range paid good one that one, as we found out the waiver sign ins don't mean much to a lawyer.
Best one was ROing a bowling pin match. The shooter was using the lightest 38 loads he could make, and one bounced back to cathc me right in the crotch. I dropped like a rock, and spent a little time on the ground. In retrospect, it's funny ans all get out, and I do still have the slug somewhere, but at the time it sucked rocks. The spectators behind me thught it was a riot when I yelled "You shot me in the balls!"

Saturday.

Brother, nephew, brother-in-law and myself go to play at the range a little.
I was shooting FMJ 45acp at a steel target at 25 yards. Slug bounced back and hit me just below the knee, (wearing shorts) knocked the skin off.

Have had other similar experiences.

Shooting 9mm at steel, maybe 10 yards. Got a small chunk of lead right on the front of my ankle. Luckily it was small, and the combination of heavy, loose denim pants and thick socks kept it from being any more than an "Ouch!"

I also watched a friend pull a nice sized sliver of lead from his hand. Shooting pistols at steel again.
