There is one in FT Pierce "FL", this weekend ,which is also Gun Appreciation day, so I figured on going there. But my neighboor said that the one in Broward was a 2 hour wait last week and they had nothing in ther that was affordable, like fifteen hundred dollar AK's. I would go just to stand outside but would like to know if anyone was able to buy anything that is usually available like AMMO, MAGS etcat a reasonable price? Or was everyone gouging?
I can order what I need online "like a laser" for my one pistols, or ammo, but like to walk around and see if there is something interesting to be had.

I went today. 45 minute wait to get in. Not as many vendors, there are at least two other larger gun shows this weekend. (Tampa/Miami) The reloading guy who sells the powder and primers was not there. The aisles were wider then normal and a bunch of empty tables.
If you are looking for anything ar15 stay home. $60 PMags, $2000 basic AR's and $1 a round .223 ammo. Oh and $160 lower parts kits.

I wouldn't waste my time and gas given recent events. Forty five minutes to get in just to see crazy prices?, no thanks.

I was thinking of going but now hearing what I just read, thanks for the warning and I am just going to stay home.

There is suncoast and what is the other name of the shows that come to FL? Been so long I forgot.

I try to stay away from suncoast shows ever since Khaled Akkawi (owner of shoot strait) took it over. it used to be a good show a very long time ago.

I went, today, and got right in at noon, no wait, guns are normal prices except for AR's and no AK"S, ammo for the AR was a dollar a round, and everything in pistol was 25--50 a box 9mm-45. The odds and ends were the same.
Double ought buck was 2 bucks per round, or 15$ for a $5 box.

What did the situation on Mosin's look like? And what's the name of the other company that holds gun shows in Fl? Oh and Haha shoot straight, the store that takes up half the tables at a show.

Anybody that pays a $1 a round for .223 must be a addict to guns or something.

The other one that hosts gun shows around here is Patriot.

I went to Gander Mountain south of there instead, more for a chance to take a break from the home life than for anything else. Of course, no wait to get in, but it was crazy-busy in there, and no .22LR ammo at all in their "truckload ammo sale" stock.

Shoot straight has 80 tables, minimum. He is the largest guy in the state.I think he has 5 or 6 stores and ranges now. They had Cobra carries, and Nighthawks at 2700 and 3000, respectivelly. Also every Kimber you ever wanted. 1,200 and up, mostlly up. Also every handgun and rifle you might ever think you needed. It's really sick to see how many guns you need, lol
The ammo is completlly nuts, pretty soon at this rate no one will be able to afford to shoot at a buck a throw. It's time to start reloading.
$55 bucks for a box of 45's from American.

Patriot? There use to be another name for a company that held gunshows besides suncoast but I can't remember.

In early 2009 at a gun show I believe it was Shoot straight that had photos of Obama on top of their tables with the caption "get them now before they are banned". The one guy working their tables saw me smirking and said to me " get one now or you'll be sorry they are NEVER going back down in price again only up".

I said "yeah that's what they said about gas also but gas dropped from $4 a gallon to $2 within months". He didn't know how to respond to that so he went on andfocused on another guy who seemed more gullible and in panic .

I always walk the whole show comparing before buying, unless I already know it is a wow deal which is uncommon at a show anyway. One dealer I have always liked is the one that has surplus pistols in a crate, I got a WW2 P-38 9mm from them years ago and later a another P38/P1 and a CZ 70. Their prices are within reason usually and they don't hound you. There is a guy that sells milsurps rifles I like also but can't remember his name.

Southern Classic does several in Florida, if that's what you're referring to.
