I am glad that those who still can hunt are able to enjoy it and I must admit I experiance a great deal of envy. From a very young age until just a few years ago I enjoyed hunting. Didn't realize how much I would miss it. I am so thankful for a couple of Uncles and other family members who took me hunting and taught me to be responsible and safe with firearms. Great times and good memories.

Excited? If you gotta ask,you just don't understend! I have the "night before opening day" jitters already.Finishing up loading the last batch for my .338 for elk season, less than 3 weeks to go.My father in law, after 14 years of applying, drew a moose tag,and will need help with it.Plus,my longest and closest friend and hunting buddy is flying out to get his first muley with me in november. Too bad the boss and wife don't understand priorities! Can't wait!

I'm past ready...Hope I stick a big Pope & Young at first light tomorrow morning. I may take the rest of the season off if the Good Lord lets it happen.

I'm fired up! Have seen some good bucks. Our archery season opens the 24th hope it stays cool like it is now. We have the option of taking bear, deer or turkey during archery, you never know what might step out.

I've been to the camp a few times in the past couple of weeks. I'd go more, but it's a couple of hours away! Season starts October 1st.

My season just ended for elk yesterday on my last day of the hunt.

I killed an elk with my recurve after a long tough hunt but it was a lot of fun despite a 4 hour processing job in the field, all during a heavy rain and an 8 hour pack out.

All on public land, solo and with my own two feet.

I think I'm gonna hire a guide next time.

Our youth day deer hunt is Saturday...my son is bouncing off the walls, has been for weeks now.
