Anyone ever hear of these? CHeck them out here:

http://www.accutecusa.com/

I ran into a guy selling these and picked up a ton of them since he was selling them so cheap.

if anything I can use them for plinking.

Has anyone reloaded these before. The pistol bullets are all HP and standard weights, 230, 180, 147, 55 etc. They are the RRLP version.

They are actually pretty cool and im really not sure what they are made of.

He was telling me you cant really get them anywhere and accutec doesn't manufacture them anymore. They just sell the license to the technology.

I have successfully reloaded before, but was wondering what the pros think. Where should I start? Just look up some 230 grain HP load data and load it up?

I wouldn't. Their website says a 45 ACP only weighs 125 grains but runs at 1246 ft per second. Very curious to know what powder they used to do that and what pressures they were seeing.

Sounds like it's going to be quite an exercise to find good data on them. No way of knowing how they hold up without someone standing behind them. (well, I guess someone could learn the hard way - but I'd pass...)

Wishing you only the best. ;)

That's for the R2X2 projectiles. Scroll down just a bit further on the Specs page and there's the info for the RRLP projectiles. They show 230gr .45acp at 922fps.

The R2x2 look like a more traditional frangible bullet, made of powdered copper, but somehow they get around sintering them. I'd probably use Hodgdon's data for Sinterfire bullets, BUT I CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT IT'D BE 100% SAFE.

The RRLP......to me it looks like powdered Bismuth. Bismuth being very slightly heavier than lead, I think it'd be safe to use lead hollow point data for them, BUT AGAIN I CAN'T GUARANTEE THAT IT'D BE 100% SAFE.
