I remember seeing a leather revolver ammo carrier, that carried individual rounds, but two rows of them, and it was made to go on a belt. A friend has one he uses to carry his ammo on, and it fits along his side, giving you individual rounds at your reach, does anyone know what im talking about?

I never found one of those snazzy ones but I use old stripper clip for .357 mag. 7.62x39 stripper clip holds 10 rounds of .357 or 38

Check out DeSantis Leather. I think you are talking about a 2x2x2 loader. It is leather, holds 6 .38/.357 rounds. Each 2 rounds is separated by a piece of leather, allowing you to employ the method of loading 2 at a time. These were standard during my Federal service in the early 80s when in plainclothes. In uniform we carried 12 rounds in loops on our Sam Browne, loading 2 at a time.
