Anyone ever use AL8 in magnum applications?

I ran into a bunch of old powders, I mentioned this in a previous post. Included in the deal is some Alcan 8, and if it's still good I was curious if anyone has achieved decent magnum loads with it for .357 mag or 44 mag.? I have data, so that's not a problem, I just wanted to know if anyone has ever used AL8 in this application before, and how did it perform compared to say 296 or 2400?

It gets dirty and leaves a lot of unburied flakes until you get it pretty near the top end. Lots of muzzle flash in 357, but otherwise I think it has been quite good.

I have a Sierra Bullets manual from the 70's with lots of load data.

That's what I needed, thanks. I have data also, some is 1960's data from Alcan. But as long as it can get me some decent magnum performance, it will be worth my trouble.
