CMP's been sold out for a while, but a few sites sell it, and for very good prices for a 500 round brick (like better than Walmart for the Federal bulks). Just wondering what people think about it. Is it less dirty, better groups, similar to match, less FTF/FTE, etc?

No direct experience, but they appear to be the same as Thunderbolts. Some people call them "thunder turds". I shoot Thunderbolts and they are no less dirty than regular Remington Golden Bullets.

Added: I see they are standard velocity. Hence they can not be the same as Thunderbolts. Shoot some and see how they do. Standard velocity 22LR's tend to be more accurate than high velocity LR's.

Well yesterday 67 units were left in stock and now 45 are. 10 units=5000 rounds. So even counting Dan...I think I helped move some units yesterday! lol Well considering how fast the parts I got from AG was (Ordered on Friday, Received on Monday), I want them to get all the sales they can get!

Yup, I moved a few units a couple of minutes ago. It's definitely worth a try and at least a good addition to the bulk stocks. :)

Thanks for the information on the web site. Interesting.

Oh man now I'm really screwed! lol

Happy I could help. I'm going to grab some of the 30-06 today. I'm tempted to get the component only ammo...but if it failed a sort, eh better to not be cheap.

I got some of them, is a "unit" a brick of 500 or case of 5000? Should be here Friday. Great service! I'll check the site often.

They came from CMP only in the 5,000 round case.

Ammogarand seems to be breaking those down into the 500-round bricks for sale.

On the CMP page, it says,

Original packaging, 5000 rd case, consisting of ten (10) 500 rd bricks made up of ten (10) 50 rd boxes each. The 5000 round case is over packed in a sealed foil barrier for long term storage.

By "unit", I was just being vague. :) I have a rimfire range set up on the property at my house and I'm always interested in finding decent priced/decent quality .22LR. I haven't yet shot any of this.

The guy who runs the site is very nice, and responsive in email.

I was actually thinking they looked like the Remington "Standard Velocity Match". The 'SV' marking on the case would support that, since thunderbolts are high velocity ammo.
