Anyone have a BPS High Capacity?

I don't know about the high capacity model, but for my 12ga 28" model, the quality is the highest of any shotgun I have bought in the realm of utilitarian shotguns. I am comparing the BPS to 870's, 1300's, 1100's, etc. Too bad the BPS is now made in Japan. The stock is nicely finished and you can see yourself in the bluing on my BPS. The action is slick and efficient. It's a nice choice if you decide to go that way.

Milk... I am glad to hear such good things about the BPS from you. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

The 1100 I received in return is perfect for my trap outings. Thanks

I was a bit surprised at how purty the bluing was above what I have been seeing. The japs are doing a good job with that BPS whether you like japs or not. The bore is polished better than anything else I have bought. The BPS is a little bit cumbersome while loading on the trap range, but I love the gun anyway. I have put a case of 250 shells through it since arrival. I can tell the action is already smoother. She is cleaned up sitting in the safe, but I don't think it will be a gun that gets forgotten.

I had been wondering if you had reached success with the 1100. I tried to remember your email and send you a thank you note and ask how things worked out. Drop me a line after you have shot it a while and let me know how it goes.

I've had one for about a year or so.

Pro's - Well built, solid feeling, not flimsy, even the plastic stock is stout. Smooth action. The bottom eject is definitely a plus for lefties.

Con's - absolutely no aftermarket "tacticool" goodies for it.

If it is set up exactly like you want it, go for it. IMO it is a much better built gun than the 870 or 590. Some people will opine that the bottom eject precludes you from directly chambering a shell, but you can still do it with some practice.

That might be a good thing in reality.

I am with Mr. Dave Williams on this.
Put me down for a old wood stocked BPS with a lot of trigger time for a defensive, and general purpose shotgun.

I too think this is a very remarkable gun. I also have Win 1300 Defender that I like a lot, but being a lefty, I prefer BPS HC for versatility and ambidextrous safety.
