Im looking at picking up a .22 rifle and was wondering if anyone here has a GSG-522 or H&K MP522?
Both are nice looking rifles and seem like they would be fun to shoot.
Just looking for opinions.

I have a GSG-5 carbine. It's been a fun little rifle. The plinking fun is all out of proportion to it's price. Obviously not a battle weapon, but for annihilating cans or paper it's a lot of fun. Mine's been dead reliable with cheap bulk .22.

If I had to do it over however, I'd get the GSG-5K pistol. Then when you SBR it (And you WILL want to) you just need to by a stock. I'll have to cut my barrel and put a threaded adapter on when my Form 1 comes back.

Thanks for your input... Now to ask a stupid question... what does SBR mean?
I have been a pistol guy most of my life and have recently been bit by the long gun bug.

Short Barreled Rifle.

Short hand for a rifle with less then 16" barrel (and appropriate tax stamp). No weapon I've ever owned begged to be an NFA toy as much as my GSG.

My first two tax stamps are for mine.

I have an H&K MP522SD and love it. only a couple of ftf in over 1000 rounds on a diet of Winchester and Aguila ammo. The gun weighs as much as my H&K 93 clone does and is built like a tank. The only downside is the price and availability of magazines.

Nice trio you have there.... Price on the HK used where I live has been floating around 450-485... Not much less than brand new from what I can tell...
I do want one though!
