Overall, I'm not a fan of Ruger firearms. Except my Blackhawk in SA (everyone needs one of those) and for a .22 auto one can't beat this:

Ruger .44 Flat Top 6" barrel from 1957 (red insert a later addition) and a .44 SBH 7 1/2" barrel from about 1963. The former best with .44 Spl the latter very accurate with .44 mag.

Here's my Single Six .22 -- it's plain jane except for the high gloss stainless which was hard to find with fixed sights.
