Loaded 20 with 200gr JSP bullets over 39gr of H4895. My lee Modern Reloading (1996) shows a load range of 36.9 to 41.0 grains for this combination. The 39.0 grains I used is a compressed load and I'm not entirely sure 41 grains would even fit in the case. What gives? I wasn't anticipating this to be a compressed load.

Have you had better results with H4895, H4198, H322, H335, or BL-C(2) which are the only choices I've found.

Thanks!

Try a starting load of 36.9 & a max of 41.0 of Varget or starting load of 29.7 & a max of 33.0 of H4198

Sometimes with some of the loads shown you really have to use a Drop tube & really trickle your powder in ! I'm not a big fan of compressed loads let alone Max loads

I've had my best results with Reloader 7, tho my .375 is used in a single shot pistol. It's a boomer but a real tack driver. Chief

Thanks for the quick replies. I think I'll get some H4198 for my next go at this. I don't recall seeing the Reloader brand powders at my store.

In the Marlin owned, RL-7 and 1680 have given very good accuarcy. 1680 gets ya about an extra 100 fps. Some manufacturer's dies resize the 375 case excessively, may want to consider raising die a tad, or buying Lee.
