Anyone in San Diego a member of "American Shooting Center"?

I'm going to be in San Diego the third week in August (18th-24th) for a conference. I stumbled upon the site for American Shooting Center and thought I might take a trip or two there to shoot while in town. I don't have a good indoor range here to rent weapons, so figured it might be a great time to try out some hardware.

The problem is, the guy I'm going with is not into shooting at all. Not necessarily against it, but not for it by a long shot. The rules for renting a weapon there say you have to bring your own weapon (doubt that would happen), come with someone else (he probably won't) or be a member.

So, I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone was going here shooting anyway and wanted the company of a friend from Virginia

They instituted those rules after someone came in alone, rented a gun and committed suicide on the range.

Good folks there. I use to be a member, but have since joined an outdoor range.

Gun laws and home prices suck, but its very scenic, lots to do and the weather is nice year round.

Joe, Yikes, I can see whay they were pretty non-comprimising on the rule then.

It's not as nice as ASC, but is a great little place to cap off some rounds

We're at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. By the map, it looks like DGM is pretty close to there
