Anyone Know about this 9mm Carbine?

Well, from the way I read it you're looking at a bunch of money for a kit of parts needed to turn a stripped lower into a gun. $710 for the kit of parts that isn't quite a gun yet seems like a lot.

Actually, if you follow the link it indicates that the upper is completely assembled & tested? What does it come with, a mag plug for the 9mm mags? What 9mm mags is it designed to interface with?

First, I'll admit having been turned off by Model 1 in the past.

Won't touch their items anymore, good now or not.

That said, They aren't attending to their ads enough to:

Scrub the "Forward assist assembly" from it as well as "Complete bolt and carrier assembly".
Tell which mag adapter is used... Colt pattern? 1 piece, 2 piece?
Identify the magazines required... Colt/Uzi or something else?
Offer magazines.

$710 is too much for; no mags, no rear sight, no lower and so little information. Looks to be Colt patterned from the brass deflector but these days and with them, who knows.

Todd.

I haven't purchased that kit, but I have no complaints about my Model One build. They make good stuff.

I have seen better shipping on parts (they have gone up since last year but the complete kits are very well priced. A phone call should answer the above questions. The people working the phones understand the products.

Model 1 cuts every corner possible, they use straight pins instead of taper, park after gas block assembled, and I suspect the origin of many other parts. I have worked on their products as my friend buys from them....there are several other suppliers that provide better quality for a lesser price. Their barrels usually are very good for printing small groups but if you want any treatment such as Chrome lining you must specify and pay extra, I do not know if they offer Nitride. If you buy from them at a Texas gun show you will find the staff less than helpful and the product overpriced.

They didn't use straight pins on my 7.62x39 upper.

I eventually switched in a low profile gas block and 13" free-float tube, and I was happy to not have parkerizing interfere with the fit of the replacement gas block -- it was very tight as it was.

I'm not understanding why parkerizing under the gas block is supposed to be a virtue. Blind obedience to "military specs" is why taxpayers end up buying $400 toilet seats and $600 hammers :(

Their barrels usually are very good for printing small groups
which is the second most important thing after basic functional
reliability. I'm very happy with the value of what I've got from M1S.

Edit: I also have the M1S 7.5" 9mm pistol upper that I've used on an SBR build. Its been great. The bolt it came with was the "RRA style" and needed a 9mm hammer I didn't get the "kit" and used a Hahn bottom loading magazine block and the Colt/Uzi style magazines.

Not in my experience. When i went to trade out the FSB on my M1S upper, the pins were tapered and had mushroomed on being pressed in... it took me a couple hours to grind that FSB off, and it was totally pooched.
