hey there. im new to THR, but have been reading it for afew years. im having difficulties removing the blade bayonet from my yugo sks. broke my good screwdrive trying. took it to my smith and he broke HIS good screwdriving machine thingy. :cuss::banghead::cuss::banghead:

any ideas? i was thinking of just drilling it out.

It looks like there is only a screw holding it on. I doubt will come out without a lot of effort though. You might want to try surplusrifle.com for some tips.

Not sure why it is that tight. My first yugo SKS bayonet came off with the flat head screw driver in my Leatherman. My second was a easy twist with a standard screw driver. Try letting some penetrating oil sit over night then possibly heating it.

checked there. i didnt see any, but i may have missed one. my smith suggested using a punch to dimple the side without the notch. themn drill out some of the metal to let it contract? i have no idea. its worth a shot.
