anyone know where to buy ak grips?

i ordered one of those amd-65s from centerfiresystems.com and got black plastic grips after i told the lady on the phone wood grips only. i told them to only ship the order if it comes with wood grips like the picture shown. i specified in the notes AND payment to process my order only if it comes with wood grips.

i visit the ffl and see black plastic furniture, i dont even know where to buy wood grips for the amd-65. any ideas where?

if i had known earlier, would have bought from www.aimsurplus.com and spend the extra $10 bucks for wood grips and chrome line barrel (the one i got from centerfiresystem is not chrome lined)

my plan was to buy the amd-65 first and see if they fulfilled my request. if so, i was going to place an order for the polish tantal, yugo underfolder and bulgarian 85. last thing i wanted was an all black ak.

well, if you know where to find amd-65 wood grips let me know. if not, i guess i will have to look for someone to trade.

i have emailed them and called, they say they dont have any in stock.

thanks for the link to copes, so its $15 bucks for a grip + shipping.

Ill see if they can take off that price if I buy a polish tantal and yugo underfolder.

Consider checking your next local gunshow,at the last couple shows here, I picked up old Romy bakelite grips for $5 each, one stil had the screw still in it !

hmm, looks like centerfiresystems is giving me the runaround.

called them this morning at 9am, told them to knock off $20bucks and free shipping($18) if I bought a polish tantal and yugo underfolder. they said they would talk to the boss and give me a call back sometime today. i havent heard a word from them or a voicemail.

are the grips US made ??

they may be using US made plastic grips for 922r compliance...

Not sure if the grips are US Made or not. I tried several attempts to make things right, but it seems like they dont want to do anything about it.

When I called, they said they shipped it because there weren't anymore wood grips. In that case, they should ve cancelled my order and I wouldve ordered from www.Aimsurplus.com only $10 bucks more and the grips I wanted.
