Anyone know where to find a Savage 6.5 Creedmoor 20" fluted barrel (22619)?

Savage discontinued these years ago, and no longer makes a 20" fluted/threaded barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor.

I used a 20" fluted/threaded 308 barrel to make a nice light sub MOA rifle with scope for some longer range shots and wanted to do the same with 6.5 Creedmoor.

I did manage to track one down to Big R in CO, but just my luck they won't ship firearms out, they will only receive them.

Custom is always an option, shilen, criterion, mcgowen, and (I think they do fluting?) Shaw.

Have you tried Gunbroker?

I have looked extensively. The custom option is generally more expensive than I would like to admit especially once you start going to fluting and other options. I also don't get another receiver to mess with out of it.

A year ago, I wanted to build a lightweight Savage in 7mm-08, and I looked all over for a 20" factory 7mm-08 barrel. I ended up just buying a Savage Axis Youth model in 7mm-08, pulling the barrel, putting a cheap .243 barrel on it, and selling the rifle for all but about $50 - which is what I ended up having in the barrel. You'll probably have to do the same thing if you want a factory 20" 6.5 CM barrel.

Do you have Big R close to your home?
Maybe they will do a store transfer.
No, not near me

As far as the Barrel Profile this is a fluted/threaded varmint barrel, not a sporter profile. Those would be much easier to find.

FWIW, that 20" Axis 7mm-08 barrel ended up shooting about 3/4 MOA routinely. My buddy has that rifle now, and loves it. If you have to have the fluted barrel, good luck. Otherwise, the stock youth 20" barrel will probably shoot as well as you can IME.
