I have been reading about these in the knife mags, and I keep looking at them on Knifecenter.com, and I was just curious if anyone has one and what your impressions of them are? I don't necessarily have any immediate plans to buy one (as I am mostly lusting over a Manix 2 right now), but I am curious as to how they stack up in terms of construction, fit and finish to other knives in the same general price range. I am interested in comments on either the folders or the fixed blades, as I find both to be oddly interesting.

A little early to find much real use information about them. The specifications are impressive, but they should be for the price.

I'll try to take a look at Blade Friday and give some impressions, but the real reviews of value will be in testing in the field.

Thanks, man. I agree, I was hoping there was someone who had bought one and actually used it, but I am definitely interested in your opinion of them!

The Manix 2 is a ridiculously good deal. Great steel, great handle material, indestructible lock and steel liner for $80 delivered? For a U.S. knife? It's even taken over most of my daily carry, and since my previous EDC knife was in rotation at least ten years- including combat- that's really saying something.

Yeah, I handled a Manix 2 at a gun show a couple of weeks ago, and I was suitably impressed. I mean, I am a Spyderco fan, but even with that I was impressed.

Unfortunately for me, all knife purchases are on hold temporarily until a SR1911 is firmly grasped within my manly paws.

My impression after handling this weekend.

Pure fighter with very straight blades/edges and in-line grips. I didn't see it as having a broader role.

Well constructed. A2 is good steel.

I have a 3.5" green G-10 Hogue folding knife. It locks up like a bank vault. Nice high flat grind on the blade. Very sturdy, very well designed. I highly recommend these knives.
