Can't find .22LR anywhere unless I want to pay ~ .15 per round. 9mm is around .30 a round if you get lucky at Wally World.

I'm actually finding myself shooting more .45 ACP 'cause it's only around .40 a round. I rather feel like I'm shooting a real gun if the price difference between .45 & 22LR has narrowed so much.

Anyone else doing this?

Just picked up some .45 dies the other week. Now all I need are the components and I will up to my knees in large brass!

.45 ACP is the most popular cartridge I shoot followed by 45 LC and .357 Magnum / .38 SPL. as to handgun and finally .44 Magnum.

Whenever I go to the range I always drag along a .22 to shoot as a sort of filler between shooting rifle or handgun. For me nothing has changed as I was well stocked with .22 LR when this all began. I am also seeing a return of just about all calibers to store shelves as the panic eases even .22 LR.

My .22 LR shooting is about to increase the first week in August as my sister is loaning me a Savage Anschutz .22 LR match rifle to play around with. Fortunately I have a good stash of .22 LR match ammunition to feed it.

Anyway, overall I am not shooting any more .45 than before and not any less. :)

plenty of both on hand. only do around 200/22's per month. i reload 45acp--cast my own and have plenty of components to feed my 1911, xds and uzi sbr. :)

Actually, I was shooting more .45ACP becuase for the last six months not only becuase the prices of the .45ACP rose much less in relation to the other two, but it was much easier to find than 9mm or .22LR, in fact, it was often the only one of the three I could find locally or on line. So, yes, I have been shooting more .45ACP than 9mm or .22LR by a ratio of probably 10:1. ;)

Not really shooting much of anything for the longest time as any rimfire/centerfire handgun ammo is still extremely hard to come by and I'm not paying the inflated prices for what's out there.

Just sitting this one for the time being.

Re: "All bulk ammo has misfires."

I have not noticed any difference in how MiniMag bulk ammo shoots compared to the 100-round plastic boxes. I doubt CCI has different production lines for each. The savings is in the packaging and marketing angle, not production costs.

heck yeah, Ive only shot a whopping total of 110 22 rounds in the last 12 months. When im casting and rolling my own 45 for $1.70/box, I dont see 22 as a viable plinking option anymore.

it makes more sense to shoot other rounds (9mm, .45acp et cetera) due to the scalper prices of .22lr these days. cost wise they are pretty close and with the center fire you getting a real self defense round unlike the near same cost .22lr.

Better buy everything you can at that price. Out here we are paying 52-55 cents a round for WWB.

My brother and I use Zero brand bullets, and have had them on order since, at least, January/13. We took delivery of .45 bullets a month back, but the 9mm they just can't seem to catch up on, so YES, we may be shooting more .45 right now.

Since I can't replace my supply of 22's, I would only shoot a 22 if I were after something too small to shoot with a 32 S&W Long or a 25-20. For practice it will be lead bullets only for a while.

I just cleaned out my storage space when they upped the price on me to $169/mo, rediculace prices being seen everywhere these days. Found 750~9mm WWB, 10,000~ Fed .22lr, 500~.45 ACP, 1000~Fed 9mm inside, now I am happy!

I've always shot more .45 than .22 because it's my cc and bedside caliber. I bought 50 to100 rounds a month when it was cheaper so now I can shoot when I want. I haven't been able to find .22 for a good while so when my Federal brick ran out I put up one 20 round box of Thunderbolt I found and won't shoot it except in an emergency. I still find .45 at less than .40 a round occasionally so I buy it.

i do love my 45's but i fins myself mostly shooting 44 magnums.
really been going through the ammo.

Yep, same here, I also roll my own. Taking the wife shooting so we will be burning up some 22 LR, but for the most part 45 ACP (Auto) is my favorite tune. Just have to remember not to use the Golden Sabers up.
