Anyone tried these surplus .308's?

by the way, the slave labor in india, they just have to make weight with their brass/powder combo, then the masters let the young kids go eat after 8 hours of loading the powder. pull some apart sometime, and do not be surprised that it has sticks, pebbles, dirt, sand, etc., inside the case.

The prices have become so high that I'm considering selling off some of my .308 surplus. Not that I have a lot, but I could easily fund another rifle project with the proceeds from ammo that I bought for like $400 earlier this year. The price can't continue to increase exponentially forever. This just isn't natural for a still legal-to-own commodity.

The surplus may be gone, but one day, probably sooner than later, people are going to wise up and see that milsurp isn't the end all/be all of ammo. Hell, you can get *brand new* brass cased reloadable commercial ammo for less money these days. At superior commercial .308 velocity, and probably more accurate than milsurp as well. I think you can load your own true match grade ammo for less.

Its rediculous.

Yeah, I have a couple cases of SA .308 in battlepacks. I might consider selling it for $75/pack and buy some WWB or other new ammo instead. $75/pack is nuts.

With commercial FMJ selling now at about $13 a box for 20 rounds and the price increases announced this summer, another bump in the fall, and another increase already announced for early 2008, $75 for a battle pack of SA might not seem so bad soon.
