I'm looking to try out a Better Belt USA Ultimate gunbelt. I like that they have horsehide options and offer kydex reinforcements at the belt hole. I have b ought Lobo and Exxodus in the past.

Does anyone have experience with them to relate?

Thanks

If the kydex extends thru the belt holes, the kydex will break pretty quickly and look like crap. The kydex should stop just short of the holes.

Looper belts make the same mistake and after a short time, their belts look pretty ragged.

I just bought a belt from Old Faithful Holsters, and interestingly when the belt showed up it had the Better Belt logo stamped in it in addition to the Old Faithful stamp. Even more interesting, the belt seems to be cheaper from Old Faithful than from Better Belt. Check it out. I haven't had a chance to use mine yet, but the build quality appears to be excellent.

"Bullhide belts" seem similar to the Better Belt in pricing on bullhide. On the other hand they are more expensive than AG or Better Belt for horsehide, which is what I am buying. So if you are looking for horsehide Better Belt seems the least expensive, followed by AG. Looking closely at the photos I'm betting AG is a better belt.

I am leaning more and more toward higher quality products and am willing to spend a little more for appearance sake as well. That's why I tried AG Custom Gun Leather this time.

I really love my high grain horsehide belt from Exodus (which may not be more expensive than "Bullhide Belts") but it's a work of art in high grain which shows the unique pattern of different horsehides, I wear it for dress only. That's part of the reason I'm out buying slightly cheaper belts for every day use.
