I was curious what you guys prefer in firearm lubes. I have tried many over the years but about 2 years ago I found one I like a lot and was curious if you guys like it or even heard of it. Its called Prolix. I had never heard of it before and never seen it at the sporting goods store. I first read about it on Chuck Hawks website. It appealed to me because I didnt like the strong smell of chemicals like eezox and some other lubes, and I prefer dry lubes, and its not as toxic as some others. From what I understand, prolix is based on citrus oils and not petroleum like most. Like I said its a dry lube, and its pretty cool stuff, smells like orange oil. Apparently it has been used on Glocks specifically for years according to some book written on Glocks years back. I like to spray my metal parts with it, let it dry and wipe down. Google prolix and see what you think.

This is the product of choice used by the Glock technicians in the repair center in Georgia.

I personally love the stuff. It cleans extremely well, w/o an odor, and leaves a good non-greasy protective coat on the weapons surface where it was used. There's really no need to and any other product ( oil or grease ) to the area cleaned.
