Anyone with "Triple Se7en Magnums" at the bench?

Just wanted to know what your opnion is of this new stuff.
-How it shoots?
-Accuracy
-Clean-up?
-Or anything else that I might wanna know.

I tried to copy and paste some stuff srom their websight.

The newest entry in muzzleloading from Hodgdon Powder Company is the Triple Seven Magnum Pellets. With two Triple Seven Magnums you can acheive an additional 200-250 fps. In 26" in-line barrels this will normally result in muzzle velocity of approximately 2,000 fps.

Sorry but you won't like what I have to say.
I shoot loose powder only.
Ask your self the question. Can one fine tune a load by adding or subtracting 50 grains of powder at a time ?

Even with their loose powders I could not get the groups That I could with Pyrodex loose powders.
So much of the accuracy game depends on the barrel size, and bullet size.
I get 1/2" center to center groups with 8o grs. of Pyrodex "P" a 250 or 300 grian Barnes MZ. Out of my Encore.
There are other bullets that shoot as well but I have list all of these so many times in here .

Good luck. Some will agree with the pellets. I do not, never have and never will. I have tested over 700 rounds and could never
get accuracy with any pellets, or any of the clean burn powders.

... Your above info is also my findings. Triple Se7en products has never been my liking. But they put something new on the shelf and was wondering of other's thoughts and not by an advertisement.

I do use loose Pyrodex and Black powder at the range. Pellets are my choice at in the field with my Black diamond.

pellets smellits i use loose pyodex in my 50 and 44 conf navy pistol. that way i can measure each load accurately and get consistent shots on paper and on the buckskin ..777
has never been consistent and cost too much , being highbrow powder for people with more money than ..well i wont go there after all

As a cartridge person who bought an inline muzzleloader for shotgun deer season, I guess I'm the guy they aim this stuff at. Shooting 44 cal bullets in sabots (.50 cal) in front of 100 gr (2 pellets) 777 I got about 1.5-2 MOA. Beats a slug. I was pleased, but I have very little BP experience (or none to the purists)

The water cleanup is true, but make sure you clean it up fast. I left it go too long (remember, cartridge guy), and didn't do a good enough job, and next time I went to fiddle with the rifle, it was in a bad way. Fast forward through some ugliness involving steel wool, I have a pitted barrel, and I haven't shot the thing to see if it's ruined yet. Don't know if this is the facts of life for BP or regular Pyrodex, but I'm gonna chalk it up to experience.

i have not tried the pelets. but i do shoot 120 grains of loose 777. for me, i like it. i like the conveinience of pelets, but i don't like how inflexable they are(you have to add or subtract large chunks, in stead of fine tune). and when you are working up a load for accuracy, you need to be able to adjust the load.

Pitting.

Hey There :
Pitting in the barrel does not mean that she won't shoot good again.
it would be best not to have any , but some won't kill the gun.
It may be a little harded to clean and load.
Best to clean it all right away. There is no need to soak the gun or any parts of it. Just clean it. The water and some soap will kill the corrosiveness effects of the powder. Oil does not... it only makes you think it is clean.
Oil and BP do not get along very well.
Natural lubes only.
