I'll be in Vegas this weekend for the Supercross finals and I'm wondering if there are any coold gun things to do. I've already been to the Gunstore and rented a tommy. Anything else? Any shows or cool gun shops or pawn shops around? I'm free all day Saturday and I'll be on the strip.

Thanks in advance.

I think there is a gunshow this Saturday and Sunday at Cashman Center. It's not too far from the strip. A few months ago they opened up a huge outdoor gun range run by the county, not much fun unless you brought your guns, but I know they at the least rent shotguns for clay shooting.

I lived briefly in the area (2003-04). If I were to go today, I might give the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop (the one in History Channel's Pawn Stars) a whirl.

Do you have Bass Pro Shops in your local area? If not, there is one at the Blue Diamond Rd. exit off I-15. If you do, you can skip it as it is no different than any other Bass Pro. But it was the first one I had ever been to.

Given your screen name I'd recommend the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas. That German beer is hard to beat.

I've got reservations for the Hofbräuhaus on Thursday. Supercross on Saturday. I'm open Friday and Sunday.

My brother in law recently went to the Pawn Stars pawn shop. He said there is literally a line 100 or so deep to get in and there wasnt really anything he was interested in at any kind of a good price so he bought a couple of t-shirts.

He is an avid.. or rabid... shooter and in LE and likes a lot of different out-door stuff (hunting camping etc even ham radio) just to give you an idea of what he's like.

Ive been to that Bass pro shops a few times. Just like the others and amazing similar to Cabelas. Are they related?

There are quite a few pawn shops on the strip believe it or not.... but not a lot of guns. A lot or jewelry pawned for gas money to get home I suspect.

The cocktail waitresses at South Point are very nice as is he hotel in general if you havent made reservations yet. Very price competitive as well.
