I built a 2'X4' bench with a 3/4"plywood top and a 1/2" plywood shelf for my RL550B using 2X4's and Simpson Strong-Tie(TM) connectors. Total cost was $51 including tax. I bought the plywood pre-cut so I could get everything in my car, but the cost difference between the full-sheet and the pre-cut was minimal. The Strong-Ties came in a kit with screws and plans to build a number of different benches for $24. It's stronger, lighter and more stable than a friend's bench built with 4X4's and 2X6's(and cost half as much to build).

While we are In Miami, I have to get by with less space than I am used to.

I bought a work bench at Home Depot. 20 X 44 X 36 inches. The thickness of the top is only 1/2 inch. I screwed on a piece of 3/4 inch marine plywood that fits the top. This bench is very sturdy.

I use a RockChucker press now. The powder measure is mounted on the top, as well as the case trimmer. The shelf underneath holds the dies, cases and bullets. The powder is kept in a locked gun safe.

My computer chair fits the height perfectly, so I can load while sitting.
