Gents,

I've been hoping to attend an Appleseed shoot for quite sometime, but I'd never been able to work it into my schedule. I'd either be horribly busy on the days that classes took place, or I'd have plenty of time to myself and there would be no classes nearby. Now, finally, there is a shoot in my area, but I still have some time issues and as a result, I'd only be able to attend the first day (Saturday) of the weekend long course.

So my question to all of you who have attended an Appleseed before is this: should I attend on the one day I'm able and skip the second day or should I wait until I have a chance to take the full course, which may require me to wait a year or more?

I'd greatly appreciate any input.

Thanks.

I would definitely recommend taking the one day you will glad you did, you will gain a lot of knowledge from the one day. Then take the two day course and you will love it.

I went to one a couple weekends ago and if I only had one day I wouldn't feel it was a waste of time. The second day was from 11 to 5.

Definatley go Saturday.

90% of the teaching is done on Saturday. Sunday is spent shooting AQTs and fine tuning what you learned on Saturday.

With what you learn on Saturday you'll be able to practice at your local range and be ready for the next AS.

Since you will only be there one day I'd try to get your rifle zeroed before hand so you'll have one less thing to worry about.

I think AS is the best value in the shooting industry.

Yes, do take the Saturday course, even if that's the only day you have available. The instruction you get, as well as the feeling of camaraderie from attending will get you well ahead of wherever you already are on the curve...
