AR-10 mag questions?

Did Armalite make mags for the AR-10 before the AWB went into effect or were surplus M14 mags always used for these rifles? If Armalite did make mags were they any better than surplus M14 mags? I've always wanted an AR-10 but never got one because of the steep mag prices. Now that Klinton's attempt to disarm the owners of this country is going away in Sept. an AR-10 may be in my future. I also want to see how Bushmaster's new BAR-10 functions with the FAL mags it was designed to use.

AR-10 mags

Armalite 20 rd. mags work great, though they are VERY pricey. I stumbled onto a bargain at my local gun dealer. He had them for $49.95 when Armalite listed the price at $70. I took all he had. Stay away from armalite 5-rd. mags, I had one that would not feed, sent it back and they replaced it. My initials were still scribed on the inside! It still won't feed. JUNK! I took a 20 rd. mag and blocked it off, works great! A Bushy might be the way to go, if you can wait, they are supposed to be out by the time we know about the AWB. If it goes away there won't be ANY MORE outrageously priced mags for anything.
