AR-15 Build

Finished my first AR-15 build the other day, thought I'd post a pic and see what you guys thought.

The lower is from Palmetto State Armory, upper is a JSE Surplus custom build, and the stock is a Magpul ACS-L.

For a sight I chose the Vortex Strikefire with a Mako 5x magnifier and flip to the side mount. The BUIS are the standard Magpul set up for a absolute co-witness.

I also got a GDT foregrip that extends into a bipod.

So far after 200 rounds, haven't had a single hiccup. Haven't gotten a chance to do any serious shooting, and the groups I did shoot were pretty awful since I forgot to tighten down the scope mount.

I'm pretty pleased with it so far. Already thinking of what to do on my next AR build...

Thanks! As for weight, its a bit heavier then I was planning on, but still more then light enough to tote around for an all day deer hunt.

Nice job, it is a bit addictive, like you it was only a week and i am planning a new 24inch upper for plinking.

Looks good! Is that the MI gen2 SS handguard? How do you like it?

Yup, the builds are addictive. Always tempting to make another upper with just that slightly different configuration or oddball caliber. My bank account isn't safe...
