AR 15 Flat top question

Tapco and about 100 other companies. Just type "flat top riser" or something similar in google and you'll be inundated with places selling them. I blieve most ofthem are aluminum however, I don't remember seeing any that particularly stated they were steel. As for rings I think Leupold makes a set of extra high steel rings that will fit a flat top.

Ocabj, that has to be one of the most impressive stocks I have seen- I am envious.
 
I'm in the market for a riser also. Thanks for those links. For some reason, GG&G totally escaped my mind while I've been searching, even though I have a GG&G rail mounted to my handguards and it is excellent.


That riser looks perfect, and it also extends over the handguards a little bit, which is nice since any decent scope is going to have enough eye relief to make mounting on the AR difficult unless you can move the scope forward.


Not the cheapest option, but risers do get much more expensive than that, and the cheaper ones are often junk (soft screws, crooked rails, out of spec etc...)


The worst would be to warp a scope tube because you wanted to save $20 on a rail!
