Any reason this would not work?

I am building my AR with a Stag Arms Model 3 flat top. I have on a order a one piece rifle length customizable free float tube from Yankee Hill Manufacturing. It comes with a picatinny rail which I plan to run down the entire top end (lined up with the rail on the receiver).

In order to get my scope far forward enough, I was planning to put the front scope ring on the free float tube. A cantilevered one piece mount will not work for my application.

Any one forsee a problem? I was hoping not to have to spend the money on the Daniel Defense Lite Rail 12.0 which has a continuous rail system.

I would like to get the rear of the scope just past the charging handle.

Unfortunately the Larue mount doesn't work since this is a left handed AR and the QD levers do not allow the ejection port cover to open all the way.

Remove the ejection port cover.

Unless you are fighting a war in an blowing sand environment, you don't need it anyway.

Open your ejection port cover before mounting the mount.

I never use mine anyway.

Your ejection port cover doesn't need to open all the way. The thumb screw on my EOTech stops the dust cover on my stag upper after opening a bit more than 90 degrees. My empties clear it with room to spare.

Also, please explain why the eyepiece of your scope needs to clear your charging handle. Most folks get around the scope interference with an extended charging handle latch, so I'm curious why you are taking this approach. Maybe you have a different reason?
