So I am building a superlight weight ar16, for starters i have a cav arms mk II lower, delton lightweight barrel, M4 forend, thinking about a bushmaster carbon 15 flattop upper, if i can find one a true titanium bolt and carrier (not coated but actually machined out of Ti), and a 20 round mag.
i think taht by the time I am done i can get it to about 4 pounds 12 ounces with 20 rounds in the mag and an ACOG 1.5x.

Are there any internals that can be used to reduce weight further(skeleton hammers, hollow triggers, helium filled bullets.... ect ect), that i am unaware of? and does anybody know about the skeletonizing of a cav arms lower to make it justhold the rear portion of the tube and not thecleaning kit compartment? strength would be effected but how much?

You start taking out that much crap the strength is going to be compromised I would have just got a damn carbon 15 from the get go...

i have posted the specs on my 'blue gun' project which wound up about the same weight as yours.

from my experience, i would consider ALL the parts you're using "wear parts", including the carbon15 upper receiver. just so you know

arfcom's EE has a JP aluminum carrier right now. it is a big weight savings. i've got over 1000 rnds on mine right now, but friends have warned me theirs wore out around 700-800, so i consider myself lucky.

the other thing I did was use a carbon-fiber barrel from ABS. I'm not recommending them anymore since they ripped me off. don't do business with them.

edit: and the clark custom carbon-fiber free-float tube, which i cut down to about 1/3rd the original length. i use a magwell hold on that gun and it leaves the gas tube nearly completely exposed. but it's light and looks cool

Taliv, I could've sworn I saw a blue CavArms .22 AR conversion at a match on a youtube video. Was that one yours, or is yours a different "blue gun"?

EDIT: Close to 4 pounds, certainly under 5 for a loaded AR is about as light as I think you can physically get. If that's not satisfactory....start skeletonizing an M1 Carbine, those are usually light from the start (5 pounds-ish, depending on setup, with the wood stock).
