I have a M16A1 upper on a DPMS M4 lower and i have bought a colt full stock and DPMS buffer tube. they fit together great. but i dont know if i should put the M4 spring and buffer in it. it looks and acts good. but will it work???

Assuming you bought the correct rifle length buffer tube you will need to run the longer rifle spring and the longer rifle style buffer for best results. A1 A2 Rifle buffers are actually heaver than most carbine buffers. Such as the carbine, H1, & H2 buffers.

thats very useful tx1911fan.

i agree with what runningman said. i have to add... the only real way to know is to shoot your actual rifle. if it cycles, and locks back on an empty mag. id shoot it now...and report back.

A1/A2 buffer tube is longer than the carbine tube. You must run the rifle buffer and spring to keep the gas key from hitting the back of the lower and causing damage.
