I think i might want to get one of these in a longer barrel with a flattop for a scope so i can shoot long range at coyotes. I have 2 questions

1. What kind of range and accuracy should i expect out of a long barreled upper for my AR

2. i find it hard to believe that i will just be able to pin in the upper and have it work. Am i right?

Do you have a complete lower? If so, a complete upper will be all you need.

Range and accuracy totally depends on the load and the barrel you end up getting.

i have a complete rifle, But it is a carbine with a carry handle and i was thinking about making it a varmint gun and i want a scope and a little more barrel.

Yep, just swap the uppers and it should work great.

Just depends on what you want to do. I hunt coyotes with my AR15 carbines. They work well.

the for sale section here. The Arfcom EE might be a little quicker in finding one.

Remember, a longer barrel, in and of itself, won't improve your accuracy in any way.

correct me if im wrong but longer barrels allow for more energy to be imposed on the projectile allowing for more stability at longer range right?

Not entirely- you're right that the bullet will be higher velocity, but this in itself won't make it more accurate. It is desirable because it will make the bullet have a flatter trajectory.
