I posted in several other forums a questiobn about the Armalite AR-24 9mm and if anyone has any experience with it.

I am interested only in this weapon. I understand it is a CZ clone, but as I know first hand with 1911s, not all clones are created equally. Please don't tell me to get a different gun. I am asking about the Armalite. That is all. Nosuggestions, please.

If there are enough non-recommendations I'll look at the next one that I'll choose myself.

I'm really not a grouch. I'm just really tired of recommendations I was not looking for.

I do not own one but I really like the way they feel and point. They appear to be very high quality, overbuilt (gotta love that) guns. Made by a Turkish company called Sarsilmaz that has made guns for a long time. Damn near bought one until I realized how limited they are in terms of accessories. No holsters, no sights, no barrels, virtually no aftermarket at all that I can tell. For me that makes it a no go.

If you are just gonna buy it and shoot it though I think it would be a really good gun though. I do wonder how Armalite will handle customer service issues though as they do not make the gun.

Yes sir, I know the feeling. May I suggest you visit www.czforumsite.info and search for posts by Dobe. The gentleman wrote several objective posts on the AR-24. For that matter, there may be some on THR as well.

Have have had one for about a year now, think of it as being a more refined CZ-75. Everything about it is smooth and refined, I would say the smoothest handgun I have ever handled . So far it's been flawless. YMMV

They are indeed made by Sarsilmaz. I don't own the Armalite versions, but I do have the ones imported by Academy. They are actually branded as Sarsilmaz, but are very similar to the Armalite. I understand there are differences, and Sarsilmaz made the ARs per Armalite's specs on finishing, machining, and other details. If they are better than my Sarsilmazs, then I would say they are very good pistols indeed.

I wouldn't say aftermarket support is nil with these CZ clones. I bought a Hogue wraparound grip for the CZ75/85, and it fitted my Sarsilmaz Kama perfectly. CZ factory mags, as well as Mec-Gar mags all fit my Sarsilmaz. Haven't tried other parts yet, but these clones' DNA are closer to the real CZ than you might think.

I have one and have found it to be accurate and dependable with all types of ammo I have found. It's easy to take down for cleaning, is very well made, and has never given me any problems.
