AR Barrel Break-In

Like everything else firearms related, there is no reason to over complicate things. Small arms are not highly complex space age technology that requires complex procedures to operate and maintain.

One point of view I happen to agree with:
 
I'm not a breaker-inner. Especially for an AR. Clean thoroughly before any firing. Shoot 20 rounds, swab barrel and examine patch. Look for tears and fuzz that might indicate burrs. Shoot normally after that. A benchrest or varmint gun might be a different story, but only if you feel the need, or are working a specific plan. (So and so's system of barrel break-in.)

Personally I find him interesting to listen to, albeit a little long winded.
