I ened up with a great deal on 5000 winchester small rifle primers, 8 lbs of ar-comp, 354.00, was a packaged deal (you can ask me but its complicated).. Anyways, I wasn't really sure I wanted it, but I bought it anyways.. I have several AR's which I'm now going to have to reload for. Have a few questions.

When I was looking at projectiles, I saw .223 and .224, what is the difference in a rem .223 for use in ar-15? Are they interchangeable?

Also, I have some 7.62x39 guns (Ahhh Kachoo).. Anyways, I don't see a ar-comp load for it, but there are plenty for 308.. doing the numbers it looks like a 7.62 load would be either very full case or compressed. Can this powder and primer be used in 7.62x39? Maybe a light load?

You want 22 caliber .224 bullets for your AR in .223/5.56. There are some .223 diameter bullets, but they are light weight and intended for old rifles in .22 Hornet that have .223 bores. All the new 22 caliber guns (.22 Hornet, .221 Fireball, .223, .22-250, etc) use .224 diameter bullets.

I am not familiar with AR Comp powder, and would have to look for data to see if it was suitable for 7.62X39.

I use AR-Comp in my 5.56 AR. There is limited data available for AR-Comp but Alliant has some on their site. Nothing for AR-Comp and 762x39 just .223

Easier to just give you the link. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/powderlist.aspx?type=1&powderid=35&cartridge=46

I've been trying to calibrate my QuickLOAD as well as I can to help me with AR-Comp since there is such limited data.

You want .224 bullets for your .223 AR.
