hey guys, i did several searches, but couldn't find the info I'm looking for.

I'm planning on building/buying an AR pistol in the near future, and would like to put one of the folding buffer tube adaptors on it. so far, all I've been able to find are the ones offered by Law Tactical, and the Sylvans carried by primary arms. Are there any others out there that are reliable but not as expensive? 180-250 seems like a pretty steep price to pay for it.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

So, ar those pretty much the only two options? Anyone have any experience with either of them? Is the Law Tactical one at much better than the sylvan?

Somebody on here used the law folder on a pistol with brace and a can. Taken down and folded the whole shebang fit into a standard ammo can. Pretty sweet rig. Like a 2 grand build, but incredible. I don’t remember the user, but I had the link saved on my old phone and shared it off-site many times. It was just after I rebuilt my long guns I think, so maybe September or October of 16

I'm an AR guy, but ever thought about going the AK route? I imagine it would be easier/cheaper to go the folding route and you could actually fire while folded if necessary.

That's... actually a really interesting idea. I did some digging and it looks like going the ak route would probably cost the same, but with the added benefit of using cheaper ammo in a caliber that I already have. Thanks for the idea.

Either way, I think I'm probably going to go the 7.62x39 route instead of a 300 blackout, even if I do go with an AR

No problem. Especially if you already have and want to use 7.62x39, an AK would be a good option. I want to pick up an AK myself eventually.

aww, I can't believe you didn't remember me! haha
heck i think we only live a few miles apart. Did you build one?

i've been very happy with it but have a few problems.
first, the dolos isn't tight enough to keep an IR laser sighted in, so it makes using NV difficult
second, the dolos nut in the bottom has a bad habit of backing out after a mag or two. very not cool.

overall though, it does what it was intended to do

Yep, we are, I just couldn't remember the screen name. And no, I built a pretty traditional as pistol, built it to be rugged enough to serve truck gun duty.
