I recently purchased a Bushmaster 7.62x39 upper with a 16+ inch barrel and coupled it to a lower I built up using a Delton stripped lower receiver mounted on a Colt rifle extension tube with an A-2 stock. The interior was a stock DPMS LRPK-1, A15 parts kit.
I took it to the range along with my Rock River Arms Car4 5.56, which had a stock Command Arms adjustable extension tube and butt stock installed at the factory.
I brought along some steel case Wolf Performance (not the Military Classic WPA) and brass Hungarian MFS for the 7.62.
I had numerous ejection jams using both ammos in 7.62 as well as several non fires on the Wolf. The imprint on the primer was deep and consistent.
When I switched to the RRA lower the ejection problems went away, but I was still getting non firing cartridges in the Wolf.
Was the match up with the Colt rifle lower and the 16” BBL upper possibly the problem with the jams?
I have run many rounds of the same Wolf in .223 through the RRA and have had no problem. Has anyone had a similar issue with the Wolf in 7.62 Performance?
