Im curious on this one fellas.

What of the current crop of reproduction Colst style scopes for the ar family are actually closest to the original, but are still usable?
seen talk of the chinese ones not lasting past 5 magazines.

Are they shoot through mounts or able to be taken off quickly for iron sight fun, and not loose zero much?

I had one from Leapers that lasted a couple seasons of tactical rifle shooting before it croaked.

I have a second from UTG on a dedicated 22 upper that is holding zero.

Reproduction Chinese scopes are a crap shoot.

You can still use irons with the scopes.

barska seems to be the best bet these days. have barska scopes already.

im so sick of dealing with video game websites screwing up google search functions for scope.

Why not get a real one, complete with bullet drop compensator knob but missing the fancy "Colt" box and cheap elastic cover?

I just happen to know someone with one that's been sitting in his desk drawer since forever.
