Heres mine. Magpul MOE stock (suggested to try it over the CTR, I like it, especially the price for just a lack of a friction lock, and sling mount), a single point sling mount, and sling, LMT heavy buffer (carbine), surefire M-73 quadrail, rubber rail protectors, an XRE Cree 110 lumen flashlight with strobe and remote switch, Bushnell Trophy 1x32 T-dot reticle MP scope, hogue rubber grip, a verticle foregrip, all on what was originally a DPMS lopro classic.

Here's one and a half of mine ... both lowers are Bushmasters, the upper is from DPMS along with a Leupold Mark 4 3.5 - 10x FFP scope, Timney trigger, Magpul stock and PRI charging handle. I'm waiting on a POF gas piston upper for the other lower (shown below). The complete AR is extremely accurate with 77 grain SMK HPBT bullets ... 0.5 MOA!!

Why is it that so many barrels in this thread and the one in the photo below have a "thin" section after the gas block? Is this an harmonic resonance thing?

:)

Its purpose is to accept the M203 grenade launcher.

While they're available for purchase to civilians, very few ever buy one, mostly due to ammunition prices/taxes, as well as a tax on the launcher itself. Given, its suprising that so many civilian ARs come with an M4 barrel profile, as I don't imagine it could do anything positive for accuracy.

Kind of Blued, Thanks for the explanation ... I'd been wondering about it for a while but never got around to asking.

:)

Here is my new 9mm SBR ar project. It will be wearing a Trident 9 suppressor as soon as i get my permission slip.

ok noob question here, but being military and all, I know we'd get it hard if we ever got caught with our weapon on semi/burst , but why are so many of these pics with the weapon off safe? Maybe its just me, but I was trained (parents&military) that the weapon is always on safe until your on target? ( I know some weapons were meant to be stored at fire but I dont think the AR is one of them. )

Vaulter98c,

A lot of people store thier AR's with the hammer dropped. You can't drop the hammer with the safety on.

Vaulter98c-- being Military myself and a former and I thank the good Lord everyday former Armorer we store the weapon what is called "Rack Safe" by putting the weapon on fire bolt forward and depressing the trigger. Therefore it is left on Fire until you pull the bolt to the rear and check to ensure the weapon is clear. just the way we do it don't know if that is the reason? Just what we do

kuntreeboy80,

hey, I live in Ringgold, by the way. Yeah, always hammer down and on fire for me.

These are really cool rifles guys. They are great for ideas! :)

my contribution:

My brand new Bushmaster Predator.

Took it to the range for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised. I only measured one group (the rest was siting in and crushing clays off the backstop) but it measured 7/8". I was very happing with that given that (a) there was a 25-30mph crosswind and (b) I was shooting brown bear (crappy russian steel case) ammo. Im sure it will shoot even better with some quality ammo.

darthbauer, NICE camo job! have you shot it?

if you have, what did you use to keep the paint from melting off the barrel?

benatilst, never seen an electric AR before :p

kuntree, just start reloading. Im buying what I need right now. Buddy of my has it down to about .12$ per round, not bad I think. But I know what you mean, even at the shows its hard to find a deal on good ammo

The MRP (5.56 barrel)

Just finished putting this one together.

Anvil Arms upper and lower. Both bought as a group buy over at NortheastShooter.com. YHM handguard, compensator, front and rear sights. Tango Down vertical grip, Liotec flashlight and a Trijicon TA31RCO M4 w/ Doctor Red Dot on top. Replaced the M4 stock just recently with an Ace Skeleton stock. I've also replaced the standard Trijicon mount with a LaRue quick disconnect mount.
