AR Upper Reciever compatability?

Hey yall,

I have a quick question or two. I have a DPMS A2 16" upper in 5.56. It has the fixed carry handle which is the only thing that I don't like about it. So what I want to do is take the barrel off the upper and put it on a flat top upper reciever from Bravo Company.

Here's my question:

Would I buy the upper reciever with M4 feed ramps or rifle feedramps? I see that it says for the M4 feedramps that it's to be used with a barrel that has M4 barrel extensions but I am unsure whether or not my barrel has them or a standard extension.

Take a look at the upper you have now if the feedramps are machined into both the extension and upper you have M4 feedramps if the are machined into the extension only they are not.
